Our Story
A journey of faith, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to serving children in Christ's name.
The story of Heritage 127 is one of faith, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive. Our roots stretch back over fourteen years, intertwining with the dedicated work of numerous ministries and individuals who shared a common vision: to serve children in need.
Our journey began with the Lazaro Cardenas school, established by Hands and Feet Ministries founded by Roy and Michelle Adams(no relation). Austin, now our board chairman, witnessed its founding during his time as a missionary. Meanwhile, Daniel Miles served on the board of Hands and Feet, helping guide the school through its formative years. These early experiences would later become the foundation for something greater.
Join Our Mission
Together, we can make a lasting difference in children's lives. Become a Protector today and help us continue this vital work.
Become a ProtectorWhen the COVID-19 pandemic struck, it brought unprecedented challenges. The school faced a critical moment as resources dwindled and personal sacrifices mounted. Yet in this darkest hour, true heroes emerged. Ramiro, the school's director, and Shelby, a full-time missionary, refused to let the dream die. They reached out to old friends and colleagues, including Austin, calling them back to join the mission anew.
"From challenge comes opportunity. From dedication comes transformation."
What followed was nothing short of transformative. Under renewed leadership and dedication, the school didn't just survive—it thrived. The once-struggling institution emerged to achieve the highest academic scores in its history. This remarkable turnaround led to a moment of clarity: while Hands and Feet Ministries would return to its construction-focused mission, a new organization was needed to carry forward the work with children.
The Birth of Heritage 127
Heritage 127 emerged from this pivotal moment, born from the understanding that supporting children requires dedicated focus and unwavering commitment. While the Lazaro Cardenas school remains a cornerstone of our work, it represents just one expression of our broader mission. Our team members' diverse involvement spans across anti-trafficking initiatives, foster care support, and various children's ministries, uniting these different streams of service under one focused vision. This combination of experience and dedication allows us to address children's needs holistically, whether through education, protection, or spiritual nurture.
Today, Heritage 127 stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and dedicated service. Our team members bring diverse experiences from various children's ministries, united by a common purpose: to ensure every child has the opportunity to experience love, safety, and God's presence.
